The Scholars Council is a group of 30 students elected to represent the interests of all University Scholars. Each year the Scholars Council sponsors a wide variety of social, educational and service activities for University Scholars. Among the activities organized by the Scholars Council annually are: a beginning-of-the-year ice cream social; tours of the bell tower and NC State Creamery, and trips to museums. For more information about the Scholars Council, contact the Scholars Council Chair, Jill Nyberg. You can also learn more about applying for Scholars Council here.
“Thanks to Scholars Forum I was able to get exposure to people, ideas and places that I would not have had without Scholars. Scholars Council allowed me to gain experience working in groups, the ability to express ideas, and an opportunity to grow as a leader. Through working as a member of the University Scholars Program staff I was able to see and help other students grow as individuals.”
