Each NC State University student is assigned an enrollment appointment time in MyPack portal. University Scholars are given an early registration window based on the number of total credit hours completed as defined by the Department of Registration and Records. Please note, the early registration window you to which you are assigned may be the same day, but is typically several hours earlier, than non-University Scholars who have completed the same number of credit hours.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The USP Advisory Committee has determined that early registration privileges will be granted only to those USP students who meet one of the following criteria:
1. Students currently registered for Scholars Forum, or who have already completed three semesters of Forum;
2. Students currently registered for approved coursework (which may include: an Honors section of a course (with an “H” suffix), a First-Year Inquiry course, an Honors Contract course, or a 500-level graduate course);
3. Students who have already completed 12 hours of Honors coursework but are still classified as freshmen, sophomores or juniors.
Remember, students in the University Scholars Program (USP) are required to maintain a grade point average of at least 3.25. Students who have not established a grade point average of at least 3.25 by the end of their first year at the University are no longer eligible to participate in the USP. Students who become ineligible for the program may reapply for admission once their grade point average is above a 3.25.
