Forum Event Registration
In order to register for many Alternate Forum events, you will need to utilize the Reporter registration system. Please follow these instructions for using Reporter to register for events. Note that registration for Alternate Forum events opens three times over the course of the semester.
- Friday, January 12 at 7:00 AM for events in weeks 2 – 5.
- Friday, February 2 at 7:00 AM for events in weeks 6 – 11.
- Friday, March 16 at 7:00 AM for events in weeks 12 – 16.
Some Alternate Forum events listed on the schedule have an asterisk (*) by the title of the event. This designates the event as a high priority event. We ask that students only register for one high priority event in the first 24 hours of each Scholars Forum Event registration opening. This allows everyone a better chance of participating in at least one high priority event over the course of the semester.
If you register for an Alternate Forum event but find that you cannot attend the event, you must go into the Reporter system and cancel your spot in the event at least 72 hours in advance. Otherwise, you will be charged the cost of the ticket for the event. If you do not pay this charge, a hold will be placed on your University Account.
Each Scholars Forum event you attend, you will receive an Attendance Card that must be fully completed in order to receive credit for attending the event. Once Attendance Cards are processed in the USP office, each event receives a letter code that is listed in the Grade Book for USP 110/111. You may see the entire Forum Code list here in order to check your attendance record. We urge students to keep track of the events they attend and to periodically check the Grade Book to ensure that credit for events is posted. If you notice that an event you attended is not listed in the garbed, please feel free to contact any member of the USP staff via email stating the date and name of the event you attended.
Please note it can take up to 7 business days for events to be posted in the Grade Book.
